October 23, 2017 General Meeting
Topic: "Photography-----Gardens in the Midwest and Yours" Speaker: Ernest Schweit Ernest, a former editor at the Daily Herald, is now an independent photography out of Grayslake. He will be showing gardens he has captured during his travels. Club members are encouraged to submit photos of their gardens to Craig (cleland7 @comcast.net). He will incorporate member's photos into the program.
**There will be no meeting in November.**

Doors open at 6:30pm Dinner @ 7pm Guests are welcome.
Members with last names starting with letters listed, please bring a dish to pass. A-G Hot or cold side dish, ie., salads, fruit,cheese, breads, muffins H-O Desserts P-Z Entrees to serve 6-8
January 22, 2018 "Bottles and Bites"
No formal meeting this month, but sign up to ring in the new year at a member's home (details TBA) to have some drinks and bites. We can share some gardening tips while waiting for the ground to thaw. Please bring whatever you like to drink--hard or soft---and an appetizer or dessert to share.

And how do we measure your success? This highly interactive program explores the topic of sustainability in a unique and entertaining way.

Peggy will show pictures of some of the most onerous invasive plants in our area She will discuss eradication procedures and how to involve neighbors and community groups ingetting rid of the bully plants.
April 23, 2018 General Meeting Topic: "Made in the Shade" Speaker: Laura Christensen
Laura will be presenting ways to cover those hard to deal with areas that shade prevents plants from growing..She has ways to enhance your lawn in those areas Bring your shade frustrations and successes to share.
May 21, 2018 Field Trip to Glunz Family Winery in Grayslake (address: 888 E Belvidere Rd., Unit 211)
Topic: "Wine from the Grape to your Table"...also wine tasting Speaker: Suzzie Glunz Holtgrieve
Suzie is a 4th generation member of the Glunz family, known for manufacturing, sale and distribution of beer, wine and spirits. She will be telling us about the American wine business from the grape to your table.
